These 2 letters were specially comissioned to mark a very special anniversary.  Made from native Irish Ash sourced from Ballincollig Co.Cork. Both have a beautifully textured finish resulting from the flames. Yakisugi is the term given by Japanese to treating wood with fire to preserve it and these 2 pieces will certainly last a lifetime.

Membership of Cork Craft and Design

What a year it has been so far. I have become a member of Cork Craft and Design group http://www.corkcraftanddesign.com/and several of my pieces were for sale during the month of May in their exhibition space and shop in St. Patricks Woollen Mills, Douglas, Cork. My pieces will be in the shop space in another few months time. Watch this space for September and October 2019.

Relief carving and sculpture

Tree of life and Celtic images in Lime wood. This piece contains many Celtic images beginning with the tree of life which was hugely important in the Celtic tradition, and continues with a Celtic knot and also very fine images of the bull and boar. This piece is for sale – 700 Euro

Spirit World This piece contains very fine detail from the spirit and natural world including carvings of a bear, oak leaf, acorn, a fox and 2 birds in pierced work. The burr detail of the wood allows the natural beauty of the wood to be displayed. This piece is for sale – 400 Euro
